Fire Retardant Cable Coating The fire retardant cable coating shall be an intumescent, water-based, halogen-free compound designed to protect electrical cables from fire propagation. The coating must form a durable char layer when exposed to high temperatures, minimizing flame spread and smoke emission. It shall be suitable for use on PVC, XLPE, and rubber-insulated cables in indoor and sheltered outdoor environments. The product must comply with IEC 60332, UL 94 V-0, and ASTM E84 standards. Application may be by brush, roller, or spray, with a recommended dry film thickness of 1.5“3.0 mm depending on cable size and risk classification. The coating must dry to touch within 4 hours at 25C and be fully cured within 72 hours. It shall not affect the flexibility or electrical properties of the cables. The product must be non-toxic, non-corrosive, and resistant to moisture, oil, and UV radiation. Shelf life should be a minimum of 12 months in original sealed containers.

Fire Retardant intumescent paint

**fire retardant intumescent coating**: Provide a high-performance intumescent fire retardant coating for structural steel to achieve fire resistance ratings of 30, 60, 90, or 120 minutes, as per BS 476 Part 21, EN 13381, or ASTM E119. The coating shall expand under heat to form a char barrier, insulating steel members and delaying temperature rise. Steel surfaces must be grit-blasted to SA 2 (ISO 8501-1) or SSPC-SP10 and primed with an approved anti-corrosive primer compatible with the intumescent system. Application shall be by spray, brush, or roller, following the manufacturer™s specified dry film thickness (DFT) requirements. In exposed or humid environments, a compatible topcoat must be applied for UV and moisture protection. Only products with third-party certification and proven test data shall be accepted. Application must occur under controlled environmental conditions (5“40C, per manufacturer). Final inspection shall include DFT verification, adhesion testing, and submission of fire certification documents.

Fire Retardant Metal Coating Fire retardant metal coating is a specialized protective layer designed to enhance the fire resistance of metal surfaces in industrial, commercial, and residential settings. This advanced coating forms a thermal barrier when exposed to high temperatures, slowing heat transfer and delaying structural failure. It is particularly essential in high-risk environments such as refineries, factories, and commercial buildings, where fire protection is critical. The coating is typically applied as a liquid and cures to form a durable, corrosion-resistant film that adheres firmly to steel, aluminum, and other metal substrates. In addition to fire protection, it helps prevent rust, oxidation, and chemical damage, thereby extending the lifespan of metal structures. Fire retardant metal coatings meet international safety standards and are available in various formulations, including intumescent and cementitious types. Their ease of application, long-term performance, and dual protection make them an ideal choice for safeguarding valuable infrastructure against both fire and environmental wear.

Fire Retardant Intumescent Paint Description Fire retardant intumescent paint is a specialized coating that expands when exposed to high temperatures, forming an insulating char layer. This layer slows heat transfer and helps protect structural elements like steel and wood from fire damage, providing critical time for evacuation and fire control. Commonly used in commercial, industrial, and residential buildings to enhance fire safety.
